LES & TWYLA BRICKMAN
Kenya, Africa
My husband, Dr. Les Brickman & I have served as missionaries in Kenya for over 13 years. We provide training for pastors and churches, workshops, personality assessments, and EQ assessments. We also have planted a church and provide cell group training, and I work with orphans.
We began working with St. Catherine's Children’s Home in Dec. 2010 through a new church plant we were helping. They wished to do some charity work in the largest slum in Africa, Kibera, here in Nairobi. Through another pastor, we began going to St. Catherine's to visit. We personally began to sponsor one of the orphans. I then began raising funds to help them buy some land and buildings for the boys’ dorm and a school. I went to teach weekly discipleship classes and workshops. Living Word Church began sending funds to buy school shoes and socks for each child at the beginning of the school year each January. Then you also supplied the funds so that the teen orphans could also attend the CMM Youth Camp each August. We also loved the visit from your team when they brought various supplies for the kids a few years back.
Several of the orphans have moved from St. Catherine's to our own ministry, Nanna’s House so that after high school they have a place to live, a job, and a way to further their education as they become young adults.
We thank you and pray for God’s blessings on Living Word as you continue to help these orphans!
Blessings,
Twyla Brickman
